What We'll Be Discussing

Roth Conversion
Strategies

One of the most popular tax strategies for pre-RMD age retirees, the Roth conversion capitalizes on lower tax rates now. In this session, we’ll discuss who might benefit from Roth conversions, and the benefits of doing so (including hidden benefits).

Required Minimum Distributions

Depending on your birth year, you may be affected by Required Minimum Distributions or RMDs between age 72 and 75. In this session we’ll cover how RMDs are calculated, and strategies to reduce RMDs, before it’s too late.

Social Security
Taxation

Up to 85% of your Social security income is subject to federal income tax. This percentage is calculated annually, and determined based on your other taxable income sources. In this session we will review how social security is taxed, and discuss tips for reducing tax exposure.

Tax-Effective Charitable Giving

For charitably inclined individuals and families, charitable giving is one of the best ways to build a tax-efficient retirement. In this session, we will discuss how to tax-efficiently give to charity, including how doing so may lead to reduced exposure to RMDs.

Retirement Withdrawal Strategies

Retirement is often funded by three sources: taxable accounts (cash, brokerage, etc), tax-deferred accounts (401k, 403b, etc), and tax-free accounts (Roth IRA, Roth 401k). In this session, we will cover how to optimize these account types most tax-efficiently.

Medicare IRMAA
Brackets & Thresholds

Controlling your income can significantly reduce the amount you pay in monthly Medicare premiums. In this session we will explore how IRMAA is calculated, what it means for Medicare recipients, and how to strategically reduce IRMAA exposure.

Founding Partner, WealthPath CPAs & Advisors

Hi everyone! I’m Andrew Redden, the lead CPA and founding partner of WealthPath CPAs & Advisors. After spending some time working in wealth advisory for a firm that provided comprehensive financial planning, I realized that there was a large gap in the tax advice that the industry offered. Standardize withdrawal systems, missed conversion and capital gain opportunities, large tax-deferred balances subject to RMDs that could have been mitigated years earlier, beneficiaries stuck with sizable RMDs during their peak income earning years.

That’s why I started WeathPath CPAs & Advisors, and build the Retirement Tax Roadmap. To build customized, long-term retirement tax plans that send less money to the IRS, and more money in your pocket to accomplish the goals you’ve worked your entire career to achieve. Whether you’re planning to spend your retirement traveling, funding meaningful experiences for your children and grandchildren, buying that new sportscar you’ve had your eyes on, or just relaxing in retirement with confidence – our Retirement Tax Roadmap can help you get there.

I’m looking forward to sharing some of the approaches and ideas we use daily in building our retirement tax plans during this session. Please come prepared with any questions you may, as our main goal is to provide value to you in appreciation for giving us your time.
